2011-2012 School Focus: Academic Optimism!
 Our mission at Edward E. Taylor Elementary is to develop and implement plans that will educate the whole child by empowering them to become productive citizens and life long learners. Our daily goal is to provide each child with new challenges that will result in a rewarding school experience. Academic excellence in the core content areas of English/Language Arts, Math, Social Studies, Science and Health will remain our priority. We will continue to provide a learning program that will help our students reach and exceed local and state standards. Instruction in foreign language, technology, and physical education rounds out our program and provides all students the opportunity to develop individual areas of interest and skill.

Engine 7 Visits Edward E. Taylor Elementary!!
To kick-off Fire Prevention Week, On September 10, 2011, Engine 7 spoke to our students about fire safety and gave them a tour of the fire truck!

Literacy Night!
Literacy Night will be held from 6:00-7:30 pm.
Math activities for parents and students will be conducted.
Students that have parents attend will be able to attend a special event on Feb. 3rd!!!
Thursday, February 2
Lunch Buddies Visit!!!!
Lunch Buddies will arrive at 11 am.
Fourth Grade students (and EDSC) will participate.
