Edward E. Taylor Elementary School History
Edward E. Taylor Elementary School, formerly Roosevelt Village Elementary, was constructed in 1954.
The school’s physical structure has been enlarged several times. Our recent renovations included the addition of three classrooms, two kindergarten rooms, a music room, art room, multi-purpose room, computer lab, gymnasium and a science lab.
Our school consists of grade levels ranging from child development through fifth grade. Our full-time staff consists of our principal,assistant principal, secretary, database specialist, ten regular homeroom teachers, three self-contained ED teachers, one resource teacher, a media specialist, curriculum resource teacher, nurse, guidance counselor, therapeutic assistant, parent educator, computer lab technician, building supervisor, cafeteria cashier and in-school suspension supervisor.
Our part-time staff consists of a school psychologist, speech therapist, Spanish teacher, three custodial workers and three cafeteria workers. We also have 9 instructional assistants in our child development, kindergarten, special education (ED Self-Contained) and computer lab classes.
